I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my savior on February 17, 1991 at Parkers Creek Baptist Church under the ministry of Bro. Joe Estes. The church ordained me as a Deacon on August 9, 1992. I taught the Bible for the adult Sunday School class for the last 4 & ½ years of our service at Parkers Creek. I sensed the call of God on my heart to the ministry during this time. I surrendered to the call in September 2005, and was licensed and ordained by Parkers Creek to the Gospel Ministry on November 6, 2005.

 

I felt the leading of the Lord to retire early from my job to pursue the higher calling of God to preach His glorious word. First Baptist Church at White Bluff asked me to preach January 2006, and called me to be their pastor in February 2006.

 

My wife Deborah and I have been married for 34 years (1972) and have one son Jeremy W Duke. We have certainly been blessed to find a wonderful church family at First Baptist and look forward to many years in serving Jesus.
